Devaswom to PSC; Protest Mounts
Thiruvananthapuram: Government move to transfer appointments
in Devaswom to PSC invite protest from various quarters. NSS leadership, on
Monday submitted Memorandum to Governor requesting not to approve the
controversial bill. The move is not only unconstitutional but also aimed at
destroying Hindu temples pointed out the memorandum. Special recruitment board
is needed to appoint Devaswom staff and the move to secularize Hindu Temples is
highly objectionable.
Kerala Janapaksham leaded by Sri Raman Pillai also
criticized the Government move here in their meeting at Kozhikode.
Those who are nominated to the Board and the staff under Devaswom should be practicing
Hindus and a so called secular Government has no right to interfere in the
Religious rights of Hindus, told Raman Pillai who addressed the meeting Â
