Devaswom Ordinance won’t stand test of law: Gowri

ALAPPUZHA: JSS leader and former Agriculture Minister K R Gowri has said that the new Devaswom Ordinance will end up with the same fate of the Self-Financing Colleges Act, which was struck down by the High Court.
The intention of bringing new Bills in the guise of effecting social revolution was an eyewash resorted to by the LDF government, she told reporters at her house at Chathanad here on Wednesday. ‘‘The govt just wanted to hoodwink the people by making an impression that they had done something by bringing laws, she said.
