Desecration of Temple at Kasargode : Hindu Shakti Sangamam to be convened

Kasargode: On May 6, the North Kerala district of Kasargode will witness a Hindu Shakti Sangamam. The confluence is being held to ascertain to the outside world, the Hindu might. Another prime agenda of the congregation is to create a mass awareness and awakening regarding the different anti-Hindu outrages being committed by Islamic fundamentalists. The matter was decided yesterday during a meeting convened at the Mallikarjuna Temple premises, which was attended by seers, leaders of Hindu organizations, social organizations, of temple trustee committee etc. As the first step, a ‘dedicatory day’ will be observed on April 15, the day of Vishu.

 Honourary Mohandas Swamikal, Kondaavur Yogananda Saraswati Swamikal, Kajampadi Subramanian Bhatt, Dakshina Karyavahak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Karnataka, Kshetriya Sampark Pramukh Dr. Kalladukka Prabhakara Bhatt, Gramanthar Zilla Sanghachalak of Mangalore Meenaar Padmanabha Shetty, Temple trustee members SP Prasad, Zilla Karyavahak of Kanjangadu A Velayudhan, BJP State General Secretary K Surendran were among those who put forth their views strongly at the meet.

The occurrences of temple desecration that occurs at a periodical basis in Kasargode district results not only in defilement of temple premises but also wounding of Hindu sentiments. The recent episode of hurling the carcass skull of a buffalo appeared to be nothing less than Talibanic in style. The meeting pointed out and reiterated that in case those in power did not take appropriate steps in curbing these anti-social and sacrilegious deeds, the Hindu society is prepared to retaliate in the same coin.

The meeting was chaired by K Dinesh, Sanghachalak of RSS Kasargode Taluk. A 10 member committee for Welfare and Security of Hindus was formed, with Hindu Aikya Vedi State Vice President Kundar Ravisha Tantrikal as Convener.  The group has already begun executing its plan of action regarding ensuring the success of Hindu Shakti Sangamam.
