via HK published on March 14, 2012

The highly controversial case of desecrating a temple in Kasargode with the severed head of a buffalo has now found a new lead. Police have arrested a native from Kasargode who was living incognito in Perumbavoor. Mohammed Bilal (21) was arrested from a bakery in the Aluva-Munnar road. It has been reported that he was working there for almost a month.

The arrest was made on Monday night (12 March, 2012) by Kasargode police personnel. A strong protest march was organized by Hindu groups in Perumbavoor town on Tuesday condemning the bakery owner for shielding the culprit. However, with police curtailing the remonstration, the protestors voiced their dissent by sitting on the main road. The groups dispersed after sometime.
