‘Deport foreign missionaries’

Kochi : The Kerala unit of the VHP on Thursday asked the State Government to deport foreign missionaries in the State who were “indulging in widespread religious conversion, with the help of foreign aid.” Speaking to reporters here, Kummanam Rajasekharan, organising secretary, VHP Kerala, alleged that about 150 missionary workers under tourist and business visas are camping in various parts of the country and are indulging in conversions, violating existing visa regulations. Alleging that five foreign missionary workers from USA were camping in Kerala for the last three years holding religious conventions and that they had converted about 2000 people, he demanded that action be taken against them
