Cultureless CPM leader’s Verbal Diarrhoea
Idukki: Talk of intolerance, violence and hate speech clubbed together, there is always involvement of Left is inevitably seen. This   time it is the CPM, with controversial Marxist leader MM Mani known for his open admittance to murder and a clarion call for the same, 2012. Mani has allegedly given a speech on similar lines, targeting a lady time. According to sources, Mani has threatened the woman principal of a polytechnic at Painavu and sub inspector of Cheruthony police station.
In a speech delivered at a public meet at Cheruthoni on Saturday, Mani is said to have made derogatory remarks against the principal and threatened the police officer. “If the Congress was trying to target CPM with the help of the SI, something will happen here,” Mani said to the cheering party workers. He is also said to have made lewd remarks against the principal.
“The principal had complained against a few SFI workers who allegedly resorted to violence on campus in the name of a strike. The SI had registered a case against the students. This is the reason for Mani’s scathing derogatory attack on her, said sources.
Mani was arrested in 2012 for giving open call for violence at a public meeting. He said that the Marxist party “had in the 1980s drawn up a list of its foes to be annihilated and carried it out one-by-one.”
Mani’s speech stirred the hornet’s nest, with the CPM removing him as district secretary and dropping him from the state committee.
Based on Mani’s speech, a closed murder case was reopened, with Mani being made an accused.
