Criminals Transform Kerala Jails Into terror camps

via HK Correspondent published on April 8, 2007

The past decade has witnessed tremendous growth in the number of prisoners in Kerala. Increasing cime, Jihadi terrorism, Marxist violence, homicide, illegal and counterfeit money transaction, and robbery are on the increase.

In spite of increased pressure to improve Prison Management, Kerala prison system  has become a system for corruption and mismanagement. The widespread use of drugs and alcohol within Kerala jails is alarming.Murder of inmates and physical abuse, and sectarian violence are rampant. Criminal offenders, not prison officials are in charge of Kerala’s prisons. Substantial evidence shows that the Marxist government use subjective judgment in offender classification, custody level, and parole. Hardened criminals are paroled for political reasons. Jihadi terrorists and Marxist criminals determine custody level, program placement and parole.

Prisoners are Left largely to run their blocks, which are segregated on sectarian lines. The policy has created a dangerous scene in Kerala  jails. Prison officials are bribed to smuggle narcotics and alcohol. Jails are run by Jihadi terrorists and Marxist criminals. Prisoners with no links to Jihadi terrorists and Marxist criminals are often subjected to brutal attack by Jihadi terrorists and Marxist criminals.

There are several cases of prisoners being murdered by rival gangs. One Official said ” we are very concerned about prisoner’s effort to recruit and convert them into their criminal gang.” One high ranking prison Official said” Our prisons are run by Marxists criminals and terrorists. There is a huge number of Jihadis in our jails. We protect them, feed them, give them medical care. But we have no control over their behavior.”

The Marxist government has no solution to manage or reform prison system.
