Pathanamthitta: General secretary of Hindu Aikya Vedi Kummanam Rajashekharan has stated that it is only natural that the ongoing reverberations in the current socio- political arena owing to the
disparity and conflict between the eternal message and vision of Gurudevan and time worn Marxist ideology has risen. Lashing out at the red brigade, Kummanam said that the messages being carried out by both
stood poles apart and stood no way near comparison.

“Not just that the two are apart, but also has such a wide gulf between them that the gap can never be bridged. Kerala is a land that has stood witness to numerous progressive movements that have ushered
in social renaissance. Such a land will never turn its back on ideological debates. The very fact that Communism and Gurudevan’s vision stand eons away is evident from the mocking reference to
Gurudevan as ‘Bourgeois Guru’ made by eminent Marxist ideologue EMS Namboothiripad. Those who have their belief staunchly rooted in
dialectic materialism cannot place their faith in spirituality. It is this conflict which made the Marxists crucify Gurudevan and tie a noose around his neck,” said Kummanam.

Pointing out how their own ilk was reeling in confusion and suspicions owing to contradictory statements and thoughts streams, all part of the sinking ship’s desperate bid for survival. “Party leadership has been a complete failure in resolving these issues. And to camouflage this grievous lapse, they have been resorting to multi-pronged attacks on SNDP. They have always adopted a stand of
acute animosity and intolerance towards SNDP, the organizations initiated by Gurudevan, his birthplace Chembazhanthi, and resting place Sivagiri,” he said.

Reminding the meanness shown by CPM towards Sivagiri Madhom head Swami
Prakashananda Swami during his 31 day fast in front of the secretariat, Kummanam spoke of the days he was tortured, with the party showing no keenness in coming forward for a discussion or amicable settlement of the matter. “Swamiji was humiliated. This shows clearly the utter intolerance being harboured in the Marxist psyche towards Gurudevan’s followers. But now, they have master plans of hijacking Gurudevan’s messages by alienating Sivagiri Madhom and SNDP Yogam from Sree Narayana Gurudevan,” added Kummanam.
