CPM Party offices acts as Police H.Q in Kannur

published on October 18, 2006

Kannur:With the blessings of Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, CPM thugs in Kannur had started their terror campaign again. Here the police officials takes orders directly from CPM party office.

Recent incidents clearly points to what it’s going to be the fate of Kannur in coming days. False cases are charged on Hindu leaders and conducts raids in their homes without any provocation.

The police who were quick to charge cases against members of  Hindu organisations on alleged bomb explosion at Nettur, but was not even aware about the bomb manufacturing unit in Kappummal.

CPM stronghold of Kappummal near Pinarayi under the Kadirur police station two CPM workers had sustained injuries during bomb explosion. CPM workers Rahul, 24, and Shiju, 23, had sustained injuries. The explosion took place in a house under construction when they were allegedly involved in making country-bombs.

The version of the CPM local leadership was that the two sustained injuries when they were making fire-crackers!

Unfortunately, what puzzled the people was the perceived inaction of the police when the bomb exploded at the CPM party-village. In a surprising development, the local police were clue less about the whole incident and a case was registered only a day later.

Even as the detection of country-bombs and the explosions caused a hue and cry, the police resorted to massive raids on houses and buildings in the Thalassery region. The police raids, obviously, offer no consolation to the peace-loving public. There has also been undue haste on the part of senior police officials to hush up the incidents of violence in the CPM villages.

The boom of country-bombs in the home-turf of Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan have started sending disturbing signals across the state irrespective of the CPM move to play down the whole affair.
