Kannur : The arrest of RSS Vibhag Prachar Pramukh Valsan Thillankeri on false charges by CPM-NDF nexus and the subsequent developments may encourage more violence in Kannur district after a gap of five years.

Thillankeri was arrested in connection with a murder of an NDF activist Yakoob at Punnad few days ago. Though the CPM claims Yakoob was their activist but in reality he was an active worker of NDF and was responsible for several attacks against Hindu activists in Kannur district. Yakoob’s father and brother are active workers of NDF for the last several years.

The murder of RSS leader Aswani Kumar caused the deadly combination of both CPM-NDF on common interest as both of whom the RSS is the arch rival. The CPM-NDF combination is capable of shattering the peace prevailing in Kannur district in the coming days.

After the murder of Aswani Kumar, Valsan Thillankeri was the next target of both the CPM and the NDF in Kannur district. He has been moving around with two gunmen following threats to his life. He was framed as a result of the CPM-NDF conspiracy.  It would be now easy for the NDF and the CPM to finish him off after painting him as a criminal.

Meanwhile, Valsan Thillankeri is continuing his hunger strike at the Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode. A meeting of various Hindu organization leaders held at Ernakulam on Thursday has decided to intensify their campaign against the arrest.

Hindu organizations will concentrate their attention on Kannur. A relay hunger strike has been started from today in Kannur and RSS Prantha Saha Karyavah P Gopalankutty Master and Yuva Morcha state president K Surendran were among participating the hunger strike.
