CPM Infighting in Malappuram : Show-cause notice to 25 CPM activists

Malappuram : The Malappuram district committee of the CPI(M) served show-cause notices to about 25 party workers and leaders of the Nilambur area for blocking party central committee member and Education Minister MA Baby on Sunday when he reached the place for inaugurating Jyothirgamaya continued literacy programme, organised by Nilambur gram panchayat, ruled by Congress.

Party’s Nilambur area committee member N Velukkuutty, Chanthakkunnu local committee secretary TP Yusuf and KSKTU leader Joji K Alex have been asked to explain their conduct to the DC within three days. Baby was blocked by party activists asking him not to participate in the programme, organised by gram panchayat president Aryadan Shoukath, son of Congress leader Aryandan Muhammad.
