Aravana contract: probe sought

SABARIMALA: BJP state president P.K. Krishnadas has sought a high-level inquiry into the Sabarimala aravana contract.

Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, he said that the Devaswom Minister should own up the responsibility for the selection of an inept and inefficient board.

He alleged that the CPM is involved in a conspiracy to sabotage the Sabarimala pilgrimage by denying basic facilities for the pilgrims.

They are getting the same facilities which were available 10 years ago.

The BJP will organise a special Sabarimala convention in Chengannur on November 26 on the lack of initiative on the part of government and the TDB.

A similar convention will be held in Kottayam in December.

A protest march will be taken out to the office of the devaswom deputy commissioner in Pathanamthitta on December 7, he said.
