CPM attack on ‘Gurudakshina’ function : 7 injured

An attack by an armed group of about 50 CPM activists on the ‘Gurudakshina` function organized by the RSS at Odanaavattom resulted in injuries to seven RSS swayamsevaks.

The function was organized at the Kattayil Shakha of the RSS when the attack occurred at around 5.30 in the evening. The injured included the Kottarakkara Khand karyavah Vineesh(24),  Ummannoor Mandal karyavah Anish(22), Vishnumohan(21), Vipin(19), Mahesh(19), Ranjith(21) and Jithin(20).Swayamsevaks who suffered injuries to their limbs and head were admitted to the Kottarakkara Thaluk hospital.

Odanavattom, which is considered a CPM stronghold and the recent activities of the RSS in that area seems to have caused the attack.
