CPI(M) violence in Kannur : HC seek investigation progress

KOCHI
: Kerala High court once again blasted the state government over the CPI(M) violence in Kannur district last month. Justice R. Basant asked the prosecution general to provide all details about the investigation progress on Kannur political violence. The report should be submitted within 45 days and if the Police investigation report is not upto the satisfaction of court, action would be taken by court itself.

The court will consider the case again on 21st May and the investigation progress report should be submitted before that day.

The high court warns the state Police and Govt. that if the investigation progress report is not up to the satisfaction of the judiciary, the court may consider to give the investigation of Kannur violence to CBI.
