CPI(M) resorting to cell rule: BJP

Kozhikode: BJP State president PK Krishnadas has alleged that the CPI(M) is resorting to cell rule in the State. Inaugurating the State convention of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha on Tuesday, he alleged the LDF Government’s moves to violate the provisions in the Constitution and decisions of the judiciary were examples of this attempt.

Krishnadas said the signing of the agreement of the ADB loan and the Government’s decision to avoid a CBI probe into the SNC Lavalin case had proved beyond doubt that a super Chief Minister from the AKG Centre, the party State headquarters, was ruling the State. Even CM VS Achuthanandan was kept in dark in all these issues, he said.

The decision on the SNC Lavalin issue was taken jointly by the central leadership of the CPI(M) and the Congress, he alleged. He challenged the State Congress president to make a sincere statement on the issue. The CPI(M) workers had been shedding tears on the denial of justice to Saddam Hussein, but they were silent on denying the justice to KT Jayakrishnan, who was murdered in a classroom seven years back.

Meanwhile, N Sandeep, secretary, ABVP and K Raghunandan, South Zone organising secretary condemned attacks on workers of ABVP allegedly by SFI in Kerala.

In a Press meet held in Kochi, they said the three-day ABVP’s zonal convention will be held at Bangalore from January 11 to 13. Nearly 1,000 students from States including Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu were expected to participate.
