CP 5/2003 – Seizure of Explosives and Condoms from Madni’s headquarters

Kochi: CP 5/2003 is one of the few criminal proceedings going against Abdul Nasser Madni in a special court in Kochi.

This case is charged following the seizure of explosives (a mixture of potassium
nitrate and sulphur), guns, pellets etc. from the ISS (Islamic Seva
Sangham-the erstwhile form of PDP led by Madhani) headquarters at
Mynagappally in Kollam district in 1993. They were seized in a raid
conducted by Rajesh Dewan, who was the Kollam SP then. The police had
also seized several condoms from the room of Madhani at the ISS
headquarters.

The case was charged under relevant clauses of Explosives
Act and Arms Act under which Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt was sentenced
for six-year imprisonment.This is one among the six cases Kerala Judiciary rejected the Government request to cancel all the cases against this Jihadi in Kerala court.
