Alappuzha:The BJP has called for a hartal in Chengannur on Friday following an attack on house of BJP leader Sivan Pillai. A group of Marxist thugs barged into Pillai’s residence in Venmani near Chengannur.

The men broke open the front door of the house and destroyed all furniture and other household items and set the house on fire. The incident occurred on the wee hours of Thursday morning.

Sivan Pillai along with his wife and his mother, who was in the house, ran away from the place through the back door fearing for their lives. A car and a bike parked in the back of the house were burnt to ashes by the intruders. The three were hurt while fleeing their house and are now admitted to a private hospital.

There were sporadic clashes between the activists of the RSS, the BJP and the CPI(M) and six people were admitted to the hospital due to minor injuries.Police arrested DYFI leader Nelson (36) and 3 other Marxist thugs in connection with incident.Cases have registered against 150 CPI(M)_ activists including Local committy secretary Udayakumar.Earlier an ABVP activist Sreeraj and his family including Mother Usha was attacked by these very same Marxist goons few days earlier.

The increased tendency to destroy property and attack family members should be condemned by all who believes in democracy. Isolating and exposing Communist criminals across the Nation is the need of the hour. Followers of an organisation ideologically bankrupt organisation are now resorting to their only option left to counter the opponents-Unleashing terror and violence. Coming days will prove that a Sociological movement sprouted on the bedrock of patriotism can not be stopped by the misguided goons of Marxist party.
