Conspiracy behind murder of officer who revealed foul play in Sister Abhya case
T’PURAM: Reminding the cold blooded vengeance seen only in Movies, An officer who recently revealed about the tampering of the chemical examination report of the vaginal swab and smear of Sister Abhaya was killed along with his wife.
Ever since he revealed the foul play in controversial Sister Abhaya Murder case, he was receiving threatening messages revealed close relatives.The Couple were killed when a water tanker lorry rammed into them from behind near the Petta police station in the early hours of Wednesday.
The direction from which the couple were hit and the position of the tanker lorry after the incident have aroused suspicion.The vehicle, which came from the Chakkai side, shattered the iron railing and crossed into the footpath crushing the couple. Both the front and back wheels ran over Ravindran and stopped with its back wheel over his wife. The couple died on the spot.
Police sources said the manner in which the lorry was found, abnormal for an accident, suggested a premeditated act.There are also eyewitness accounts that say that the lorry swerved violently to the left and crossed into the footpath to avoid hitting a two-wheeler that was coming from the opposite direction.
They have two children. Gopika, a fifth standard student at Peroorkada Kendriya Vidyalaya, and Gokul, a fourth standard student at Pattom Kendriya Vidyalaya.
