Comrades clash at SFI meet venue

T’PURAM: The severe criticism against Chief Minister V Achuthanandan at the SFI state meet resulted in clash between delegates the venue in Perinthalmanna, Malappuram district, on Friday evening.


The clash was between delegates from Kollam district after a section unleashed personal criticism against VS during the discussion on working and organisational reports.


The present leadership of SFI state unit has come under severe attack from the delegates during the discussion on the working report.


State president Sindhu Joy was attacked by delegates from Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Idukki and Pathanamthitta district.


The delegates from Kannur put Swaraj in the dock by accusing that he had not even given any assistance for them to carry out operations at the Kannur University.


Swaraj had been charge of Kannur University for the past two years.


The stand taken by the CPM in the ADB and Nandigram issue, M A Baby’s handling of the selffinancing colleges episode and the processions taken out favouring VS came under attack by the delegates.
