Communist Terror-RSS calls for all-party meet
KANNUR: The RSS has asked Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan to convene an all-party meeting to restore peace in the district.
Addressing a news conference here on Monday, RSS state sahaprachar pramukh Valsan Thillan-keri and jilla karyavah V. Sasidharan said the village-level peace meetings convened by officials were futile as the CPM workers were paying no heed to the decisions taken at such meetings.
They alleged that houses of BJP and RSS workers were being attacked by CPM men in the constituency of the Home Minister and that the police were taking no action against the culprits.
The RSS leaders alleged that the CPM has been misusing its position as a ruling party to deny democratic rights to other political parties. As many as six RSS workers were murdered by the CPM in the Thalassery region in the last four years, they said. The RSS is taking the initiative in setting up a forum of the victims of CPM violence, they said.
