via HK published on April 4, 2007

Kerala Marxist Minister S Sharma accused Christian Non Governmental Organizations for accepting foreign funds for subversive activities in Kerala. Sharma, the Fisheries Minister who belongs to the Achuthanadan faction strongly blamed that it is the policy of Christian Non Governmental Organizations to engage in anti national and subversive activities against progressive forces in Kerala. Recently Chief Minister Achuthanandan blamed Deepika and Malayala Manorama, two leading Christian newspapers for receiving foreign funds.

Marxist Minister was emphatic in stating that CIA provided funds, logistics and information for Christian groups and Christian media against the first elected Communist government in Kerala. With foreign funds, Christians were successful in staging massive protest against the elected Communist Government in Kerala in 1959. The EMS government was dismissed by the Nehru headed Congress government in Delhi.

At a meeting in Ernakulam, Minister Sharma was  has accused Non Governmental Organizations associated with Christian fundamentalist groups  receiving foreign funds for their anti national, and socially divisive activities. It is strange that Pinarai Vijayan, who is the state general Secretary of the Marxist Party openly aligned himself with capitalists and Christian Money Mafia while Marxist Minister Sharma criticizes inimical and anti national activities of Christian organizations. Marx, the communist chieftain was against Christianity. But in Kerala, the Marxist Chief Pinarai Vijayan has no qualm in associating with Christian money mafia. Kerala  Marxist leader Pinarai Vijayan  and Christian Bishops are Strange bed fellows in Kerala.
