Christian convent encroaches Temple land

Thodupuzha: Encroachers of high range areas are now eyeing Temple properties. The Devaswom board which is supposed to protect the Temples are silently giving nod to encroachment of Temple properties here.
Illegal constructions are undergoing in the land of Kottakkakam Sarppakavu near to Bhagavathi Temple here by Mary Rani Convent and Church authorities.
Various Hindu organisations formed Karikode Bhagvathi Kshetra Samrakshana Samithi to resist the move by the Church and condemned their provocations aimed at destroying the communal harmony prevailing in the area.
