Chottanikara Makam today

KOCHI :The famous Chottanikara Makom festival falls on Thursday. Thousands of women devotees are expected to participate in the Makam festival.
The Makam festival will begin at 7am on Thursday with the Arattu festival at Onakkutty chira. The Makam festival is from 2pm to 8 pm.
According to belief, Goddess Lakshmi fully clad in all sovereigns had given darshan to Viluamangalam Swamikal along with Maha Vishnu on the Makam day.
It is believed that during this Makam festival Lakshmi Narasimha mantras are chanted for would matrimonial bliss.
