Caste Card as Identity cards – Police registered case against Catholic school

Kottayam: : Police registered case against Christian Missionary school here for issuing caste cards to students. The case has been registered following the recommendation of  state unit of National Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe.

St Agnes High School at Muttanchira in Kottayam district , A school managed by Catholic Church has caused outrage EARLIER over their decision to issue caste cards to students. The students were instructed to display this ‘Caste Card’ along with uniform.

The inquiry ordered by the District collector held that the incident “cannot be justified” and recommended suitable action against the school authorities.

In a country were Catholic priests who raped and murdered a Nun are still roaming around , No one expect any actions against this Catholic Management as well.
