Campus Front to replace SIMI

via Raghavan Nair published on August 31, 2006

Thiruvananthapuram: Campus Front, the student wing of the notorious NDF outfit, is now spreading its wings in the southern districts of Kerala. In the northern parts of the state, already they are very active and have large following, coming close to the SFI. A surprise element in this regard has been the tolerance exhibited by leftist students’ wings in Campuses, particularly the SFI, which is ever vigilant and reactive to the presence and growth of any other student wing (or may be that all they care about is ABVP!!).

In places like Malappuram, the  SFI has adopted a brotherly affection towards Campus Front.  The Campus Front activists have all the resources that other groups long for. They have plenty of money at disposal (not made available from bucket collections), brand new bikes, latest mobile phones, dares to take up or involve in any issue where they could project their presence, exhibits an adoring posture towards minorities and above all they do enjoy the immunity that their mentors have developed in the state.

In recent times, the activities and involvement of Campus Front in different parts of Thiruvananthapuram have come to light and the ongoing state meet of the Front at Thiruvanthanpuram is a clear indication of their intentions.
