THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP’s unit said the state budget for 2007-08 did not contain any steps to address price rise of essential commodities and resolve the unemployment problem.


BJP State President P K Krishnadas claimed that budget proposals cleared showed that the government was “withdrawing” from programmes of poverty alleviation.


“Agriculture sector has been ignored,” he said.
