KOCHI: “The Communist parties are resorting
to barbaric acts to drive away their political opponents,” said BJP
state president P.K.Krishnadas.

Speaking to reporters after
visiting Sanoop, an ABVP activist and the union chairman of the
Guruvayur Sri krishna College, who was allegedly attacked by the SFI
and DYFI workers on the college premises, he said that these acts were
the result of the agenda set at the Kottayam state conference of the
CPM.

The attack on Sanoop was a planned one as he was the first
non-Left candidate to file the nomination and win the college union
chairman election, the BJP state president said. Similar incidents had
occurred in other parts of the state as well, he said.

He said
that the party will approach the Human Rights Commission and the Union
Home Minister to take stern action against those behind the attack.
