Bombs seized from abandoned house, near a mosque in Kannur
After Mannarcaud arms catch now its in Kannur. Over 30 crude bombs were seized from an abandoned house near a mosque here on Tuesday, police said.
Following a tip-off, police raided the house, where no one had been staying for years, and seized 20 ‘pipe’ bombs, 12 country-made bombs, two axes and ten first aid boxes.
It is suspected that the house was used for making the explosives and weapons. Police suspect that the muslim fundamentalist outfit National Development Front could be involved.
No arrests have been made in connection with the seizure
