Bomb threat at shopping malls in Ernakulam

KOCHI: Bomb and dog squads have intensified search operations following an anonymous message that bombs have been placed in some of the shopping malls including Oberon in Ernakulam. The message was received at the office of Malayala Manorama at 11.30 am this morning.

The message stated that a bomb would explode in the main shopping malls in Kochi. The message was soon handed over to the city police. People have been evacuated from the malls following the message.

Security has been tightened following warning from the union home ministry that attacks would be carried out by Lakshar terrorists.
