THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In an exclusive interview to Kerala Kaumudi, Devaswom Board president G Raman Nair said they would request the government for a vigilance investigation on the Sabarimala issue. He said this in the wake of the revelation of Kannada actress Jaimala’s confession that she had entered the sanctum sanctorum of Sabarimala in 1987 and touched the Ayyappa idol.

Nair said the board would take a decision on this on July 7. It is the responsibility of the board to retain the sacredness of the famous Sabarimala temple.
