Blasts in Kozhikode city
Two powerful blasts rocked the busy Mavoor Road area in the city today creating panic among the people. |
Police said the first blast took place in the state-run Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus depot around noon and the other occurred almost immediately at the nearby private bus stand. |
Ruling out any casualty, Police said the areas were cordoned off and tight security had been imposed. Senior police officials are investigating. |
It may be noted that as many as 47 gelatine sticks were found in a packet deposited by an unidentifed person in the cloak room of the KSRTC bus stand a couple of weeks ago. |
