BJYM organises ‘Rashtra Raksha Sangam’
Kochi:The youth wing of BJP, Bharathiya Janata Yuva Morcha, will organise ‘Rashtra Raksha Sangamam’ in association with Independence Day celebrations. The Sangamam is aimed at generating awareness about terrorist threats faced by the country and also on countering these threats.
The Yuva Morcha activists will take the ‘Rashtra Raksha’ pledge in the various convention centres in the State. They will also take out a Rashtra Raksha rally. BJP general secretary PK Krishnadas will address the gathering at Pavaratty in Thrissur district, district unit president Bijoy Thomas said.
The programme is conducted in tune with the party’s nationwide campaign against terrorism. It had recently organised a human chain in various district headquarters with a slogan urging youth to thwart the anti-national forces from the country.
In Ernakulam district, as many as 5,000 Yuva Morcha activists are expected to participate in the programmes organised in Paravur.
Meanwhile, security has been tightened considering the terrorist threats looming large over the country. Independence Day parades will be held in various district headquarters.Only person who waives of Terrorism alert in the country is Union Minister and Muslim League leader E. Ahammed.
