The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to hammer out a political alliance with the two major Hindu organisations in Kerala the SNDP and the NSS before the next assembly elections expected to be held in Apr/May.

The BJP national President, Mr Rajnath Singh has reportedly made an opinion in this regard.

He said that in Kerala the Communists and Congress are equally the enemies of BJP and the party would contest the elections on its own.

The report of party’s national Vice-President, Mr L Ganesh on the reported groupism in the party in Kerala was discussed at length by the party at a high level meeting, which was attended by the former Prime Minister, Mr A B Vajpayee and former President, Mr L K Advani recently in New Delhi, he was quoted as saying. Based on this, Mr Rajnath Singh had asked the senior leader and former party President, Mr Venkaiah Naidu to attend the pary’s state committee meeting scheduled to be held in Alapuzha on Feb 12.

Meanwhile, the report of Mr Mohan Sankar Committee on the erosion of votes in the Thiruvananthapuram parliament elections has yet to be received and once it reaches the Central Committee and future course of action would be chalked out after studying it, Mr L Ganesan has said.
