BJP State chief to flag off ‘renaissance rally’

THRISSUR : BJP State president PK Krishnadas will inaugurate the platinum jubilee celebrations of the Guruvayur Sathyagraha by flagging off the Paliyam-Guruvayur renaissance rally from Paliyam on Wednesday. RSS Karyavah AR Mohan will be present on the occasion.

The rally raises the clarion call to the Hindu community to overlook casteist stigmas while appointing priests in Hindu temples.

The aphorism of the rally will be the dictum of late Hindu leader P Madhav who said that the qualities of Brahmin in a person are decided by his deeds and not by his caste of birth.

BJP leaders said in a press conference that the rally was a reminder of the struggles in Hindu community as part of the vision to erase caste system in the society.

The casteist slavery that existed at that time had given way to political class slavery, said P Aravindan. He alleged that the activities of social organisations in Kerala including the progressive fronts had failed to address the issue.
