BJP stages dharna against Govt failure

| Former State party president CK Padmanabhan inaugurated the dharna. In a hard hitting speech, Padmanabhan said CM VS Achuthanandan, who was in the forefront of the movements against the corruption during his tenure as Opposition leader, was a failure in taking action against corrupt deals, including SNC Lavalin and KSTP. | ||
| He also attacked the Government for its failure, including law and order. He said the BJP would play the role of a constructive opposition in the days to come as the Opposition UDF had also become an abject failure in pointing out and rectifying the mistakes committed by the Government. | ||
| Party State president PK Krishnadas and vice-president V Muralidharan were other prominent leaders who participated in the dharna, which was the first public programme by the BJP after Krishnadas became the president. | ||
