BJP resents Pinarayi’s statement on X’ian-Hindu meet

T’PURAM: BJP in Kerala yesterday came out strongly against CPI-M leader Pinarayi Vijayan’s statement that the talks between church heads and Hindu outfits amounted to giving legitimacy to Sangh Parivar.

Welcoming the dialogue held in Kochi two days ago, a BJP statement said these talks would help remove misunderstandings and find new areas of co-operation between the two communities Vijayan’s criticism against it betrayed his party’s designs to make political gains by creating communal divide while pretending to be the protectors of minority communities, the statement issued after a meeting of the BJP state office-bearers here said.
