BJP Palakkad unit shows the way in Silent Valley

BJP Palakkad District committee organaised a march to the controversial resort situated in buffer zone of Silent Valley national park at Attappady, Mannarkkad Taluk on 30th April 2010. The District Collector of Palakkad has given a report to the Kerala Government that the resort stands in the land of Adivasis. But the state ruled CPM and oppostiion party Congress is supporting the resort mafia to sustain. CPI leader and Deputy speaker of Kerala legislative assembly Jose Baby inagurated the resort. KPCC Secretary P.J Paulose,IUML leader Nalakath Soopy and CPM district secreteriate member P.K Sasi participated in the inaguration.
 
BJP State General Secretary K . Surendran led the protest march which was blocked at Mukkali about 5 k.m away from the illegal resort. But the police force were not sufficient to stop around 300 strong BJP caders. BJP caders moved to Chindakki village where the resort is situated. But inbetween, around 2 k.m away from resort, police brutally attacked BJP caders with Lathis and some police men thrown bricks and stones against BJP caders. 8 BJP – Yuvamorcha caders injured and were taken to Mannarkkad Government Hospital in Sevabharathi Ambulance.
 
Atlast Police surprised when the information came that around 50 BJP caders who were hiding in jungle area from last night entered to the resort with around 40 Adivasis including women. They built temporary house for Adivasis inside resort compound and started shouting slogans against Government and Resort Mafia.
 
Later most of the BJP caders entered to the resort including K.Surendran.After hours of protest Police arrested all caders with force excluding Adivasis.
