BJP extends open support to Sarat

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It is now official. The BJP will give open support to Saratchandra Prasad, who is contesting as a UDF rebel in the Thiruvananthapuram West constituency.
Though the support had been an open secret since the BJP withdrew its candidate from the constituency, the party took long to declare it in open.
On Wednesday, BJP general secretary in charge of the state, L. Ganesh told newsmen that the party would support Saratchandra Prasad.
“He has sought the support from us and we have decided to give him the support,†he said.
