The BJP State president PK Krishnadas has called for a white paper on the land deals in the State after the Achuthanandan Government has assumed office. He said that the Chief Minister should stop playing hide and seek to the people of the State on the land deals.

The BJP leader said that most of the land transactions are carried out in the guise of industrial development and the Industries Minister and the Revenue Minister cannot be absolved of their responsibilities in the deals.

Krishnadas called for a CBI inquiry into the recent HMT land deal and said that the deal has to be thoroughly scanned. He expressed doubts on a judicial probe and said that nothing less than a CBI probe would bring out all the actual facts.

Krishnadas also said that the Police was employing draconian laws against the BJP activists in Palakkad and added that the party would strongly defend its cadres.
