BJP bags two seats in local body bypoll elections in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP bagged two seats in recently held Bypoll elections for the local bodies in the state. P.Vinayakumar won Kaniyapuram ward in Thiruvananthapuram with a huge margin defeating his Congress and Communist rivals.Kannatt Vijayakumar won Thaikkatuserri poochakkal ward in Alappuzha District as well defeating his opponents.
As a general trend Congress lead UDF took back 9 seats from Communist party. BJP ‘s position has been increased in many places.
