BJP activist ostracised by Mahallu committee under IUML’s direction

Barred from Granting Membership in Mahallu Committee for being a BJP Activist: Reports
 
Kozhikode: A BJP worker has allegedly been denied membership in Mahallu committee because of his party affiliations. The allegations have been made by Kasim Haji, district General Secretary of BJP’s Minority Morcha against the Mahallu committee leadership of Badriya Juma Masjid of Charangoth.
 
Kasim Haji and his family have decided to hold a remonstration in front of the Collectorate, seeking justice.
 
Sources have indicated that religious leaders stood in favour of granting membership. According to Kasim Haji, it was the communal Muslim League, along with Mahallu secretary that opposed the move.
