Balasangham holds dharna

KASARGOD: Activists of the Balasangham staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here on Saturday protesting against the alleged sexual assault on the teenaged boys of the Observation Home in Paravanadukam.

M Balakrishnan Master, state coordinator of the Balasangham, who inaugurated the dharna said all the culprits in the case should be brought to book. He said the incidents at the Observation Home has brought shame and disgrace to the people of the state.

He said it was shocking that the inmates of the Observation Home were sexually harassed after giving ugs.

Balakrishnan Master demanded formation of a district-level juvenile police unit besides a juvenile unit in each police station to prevent crimes against chilen.

V Sajith, P Ramesan, P Pardeep and Rajesh Uduma adessed the Balasangham activists.
