Balagokulam state conference on July 14

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 37th state annual conference of the children’s movementBalagokulam will begin on July 14 at Shakthi Nivas in Thiruvananthapuram. The conference will be inaugurated by head of Travancore royal family Marthanda Varma.”This year’s state annual conference of Balagokulam will introduce a new concept of a ‘children’s house’.

The intention is to improve the character of children which should begin from home,” saidKerala Lalitha Kala Academy Chairman, Kanayi Kunhiraman.

“The children’s character can be moulded up only by their parents. They should be brought up in such a way to make them humane and independent,” he said. Balagokulam will also conduct awareness programmes for parents to help them understand the right way to bring up their children.
