Balachandran Mash, Hero of Tali Temple liberation struggle passed away

Perinthalmanna: Kshetra Samrakshana Samithi state Vice President , Nationalist leader Shri V.K.Balachandran (79) passed away here in his home on Wednesday night.

Popularly known as Balachandran Mash , Shri Balachandran was one of the first leader who opined and formulated the voice of Hindu Society against the Government atrocities against Temples. Along with Shri Kelappaji , Balachandran was in forefront in the historical protest to liberate and protect Angadippuram Tali Temple against the then Communist Ministry lead by EMS.

From then, Balachandranji was in the forefront of many Temple protection movements and did a commendable job for the upliftment of Hindu Society through Sangh inspired Kshetra Samrakshana Samithi. He was active with the movement even in last days. His organising skills were outstanding, remembered Kshetra Samrakshana Samithi leader Shri Kadamban Nampoodiripad . Loss of Mash for Kshetra Samrakshana Samithi and for the Hindu Soceity is immeasurable, Told Kadamban Nampoodiripadu.

A teacher by profession, Mash worked as the Journalist of Malayalam daily Mathrubhumi. A Good writer, Scores of books were also his contribution for the cultural Kerala.

His last rites will be performed today afternoon at his Home.
