Award to MF Husain : HAV to launch agitation

Thiruvananthapuram: The Hindu Aikyavedi on Tuesday threatened to launch an agitation against the Kerala Government’s decision to present the prestigious Raja Ravi Varma award to M F Husain.
It was most inappropriate on the part of the government to have chosen Hussain for the award ignoring that he had “wounded Hindu sentiments by depicting Hindu gods and goddesses in the nude,” Hindu Aikyavedi president KN Raveendranath and general secretary Marad Suresh told newspersons here.
