Asianet Kozhikode bureau chief gets a chance to taste the CPM’s ‘comradeship’

KANNUR: Shahjahan, the reporter of Malayalam news channel Asianet, was on Monday assaulted by some CPI (M) activists led by MLA P. Jayarajan. The activists assaulted Shahjahan just after the shooting of the political programme named ‘Porkkalam’, in which he was the anchor, was completed. Shahjahan is the Kozhikode bureau chief of Asianet.

P.Jayarajan later threatened Shahjahan over the phone. Jayarajan alleged that the programme was conducted by the money of UDF. He also said over the phone that Shahjahan was the agent of Revolutionary at Onchiyam. He warned Shahjahan that if again Shahjahan conducts such programmes as this, he will again get people’s beat.
