PATHANAMTHITTA: Eleven swords and eight Spiral swords were seized by the police during a raid conducted in Cherukol in Pathanamthitta.. The weapons were found near the Cherukol Panchayat office. The site is near the place where Local Self Government Department Minister Paloli Muhammad Kutty addressed a public function. It is reported that the arms were owned by NDF.

A police team headed by the Superintendent of Police Vargheese George and DySP Suresh Kumar conducted the raid on suspected places, including houses and uninhabited buildings, following the capture of weapons. It is also alleged that some sand mining mafia and certain local political leaders are also involved in the incident.
