Arch rivals joins together to oppose Munnar Eviction!

Munnar: The initial enthusiasm shown by political parties in support of Munnar eviction started to fade, when they started to face the heat.


Arch rivals in Kerala politics, Communist and Congress leaders joined here together with the Church to make a People’s front to oppose the eviction processes. Due to protest from residents, traders and auto drivers the front was forced to withdraw the three day Hartal called by them. The Hartal was called against the Eviction Team’s alleged high handedness.


On Saturday District BJP unit came openly to support the moves of Eviction Team. The March led by District BJP Leaders here conveyed their complete support to the Eviction Team and requested actions against all encroachers irrespective of their Political or Religious affiliation.


BJP activist’s led March to those Encroached properties and erected flag there as a sign of people’s protest.The March was led by District president Srinagari Rajan, State Commitee Member Jayakumar and Munnar Assembly president Sureshkumar.
