Aranmula temple festival begins

PATHANAMTHITTA: The 10-day annual festival at Sree Parthasarathy Temple in Aranmula began with the Kodiyettu ceremony yesterday. Tantri Rakesh Narayanan Bhattathiri of Paramboor Illom was the chief celebrant of the ceremony held at between 11 am and 11.30 am. Earlier, a ceremonial procession carrying flowers for Pushpabhishekom to the presiding deity was held from the Vilakkumadom Temple at Edarayanmula to Aranmula.
