Aranmula Airport – Vigilance Enquiry ordered following Kummanam Rajasekharan’s plea

The Kottayam Vigilance court has issued a directive calling for a vigilance enquiry into the leveling of paddy fields and water-bodies in order to pave way for the Aaranmula Airport.

The directive comes following a plea submitted by custodian of Aaranmula Paithruka Karma Samithi ,Kummanom Rajashekharan.

The court has sought the report before 14 March 2013 from the Chief Vigilance Commissioner.

The Land Revenue Commissioner had sought a vigilance enquiry against the revenue officers, who are the main accused. Other accused are Aaranmula Aviation company, those currently in charge of the airport and the KGS Group.
